About The HUB

The HUB Youth Mission Statement

Because of The Hub, youth experience growth and empowerment in a place where they feel safe and are encouraged to accomplish their goals so that they have the confidence to become youth leaders. The community and system will value and be committed to youth and adult partnerships promising support, services, resources, connections, and a safe and welcoming atmosphere where doors are always open.

Youth Leadership Council

The Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is a group of 10 current and former foster youth, ages 15-24, that leads the direction of The HUB's services. The members meet on a monthly basis to build a bond and sense of community with their peers, while sharing resources and giving vital feedback on what services are needed. YLC provides an opportunity to create change locally to shape current and future programs impacting the foster care community. Our activities include: monthly group meetings, mentorship, input for County of Santa Clara letters and DFCS policies and procedures, and developing trainings for social workers. To join YLC, all you need is to be a former or current foster youth enrolled in The HUB or ILP, have a passion for positive change, and capacity to commit to our current projects!

Join today by completing the YLC interest form. We hope to see you there!
